Stephen Hunt is to visit a specialist for the second time in two weeks to try to get to the bottom of a troublesome groin injury.
The Republic of Ireland international has been struggling with the injury for some time and he appeared to aggravate it during training on Monday, which forced him to miss Tuesday's session.
Wolves manager Terry Connor has confirmed the midfielder will return to the specialist in the hope of finding a reason for his ongoing problem and he is hoping he will not require an operation with Jamie O'Hara (hamstring) and defender Jody Craddock (groin) both ruled out for the season.
"Stephen pulled out of training (on Tuesday) and he's seeing a specialist. It's the ongoing stuff with his groin," Connor explained. "He felt it in training on Monday and, although he trained on Tuesday, the general consensus was that he should get it looked at. "We feel the best thing is for the doctors to take another look and see if they can get to the root of the problem. "I don't know if he will need surgery or not but it's clear something is still bothering him. Rather than keeping going, the best thing is to seek another medical opinion."
