Lionel Messi brace brought Barcelona back on track to ensure Champions League
qualification, as they defeated hosts Spartak Moscow 0-3 on Tuesday.
Barcelona dominated the first half
as Dani Alves scored the opener on the 16th minute. Messi led his side to win
w1th ease as he scored his first on the 27th, followed by a Pedro-assisted
second 12 minutes later.
The result placed Messi closer to
beating Gerd Muller’s 85 goals in a calendar year record. The Argentinian
hitman now has 80 goals under his name since January 2012.
