Football Scoreboard Latest Match News: Everton’s Phil Jagielka Wants to Replace John Terry in England National Team

FOOTBALL LATEST MATCH UP OCTOBER – Everton defender Phil Jagielka is now hoping for a regular feature in the England national team following John Terry’s retirement last month.

Jagielka will start for England when they face Poland on Wednesday at Warsaw. Manager Roy Hodgson pitted him as the team’s leading defence figure in the absence of Terry.

When asked to comment on his new role, Jagielka eagerly said that he would “chuck my name in the hat”. Prior to the upcoming Poland match, he has played past through rival international teams 15 times.
