THE LATEST SPORTS NEWS – Former soccer defender for Manchester United Gary Neville said that his ex-teammate Wayne Rooney could still improve in his position as a striker.
Citing his phenomenal rise when he first scored for Everton in 2002 at the age of 16, Neville said that the 26-year old Rooney could still experience further improvements. He noted that at his age, “…there’s more to come”.
Rooney has played past through rival teams with Manchester United since his signing in 2004. Neville compared him to veterans Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, referring the two as being successful in improving themselves on the pitch.
