LEAGUE NEWS – Sunday’s Premier League saw West Ham claiming a win
over hosts Newcastle after a poor showing from the Magpies resulted to their
0-1 defeat.

The lone goal of the game came from
Kevin Nolan, who rebound Joey O’Brien’s failed attempt to penetrate the hosts’
woodwork. Officials ruled out Demba Ba’s header effort after showing that
keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen closely took the ball out of the line.
West Ham appeared to win w1th ease against
Newcastle due to the hosts’ poor showing in attack. Papiss Cisse and Shola
Ameobi’s presence did not provide much impact to the Magpies.
