Barcelona, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Greatest Contenders in UEFA Champions League - Ferguson

THE LATEST UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NEWS – Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson named Barcelona, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund as his side’s heaviest possible opponents in their Champions League campaign this season.

Ferguson noted that he and the rest of United are not expecting to win with ease against the Spanish and German heavyweights, saying that those three “will have outstanding chances”. He hopes that his side “can join them” in being formidable contenders for the European trophy.

By far, United have won all four of their group stage games in the Champions League, bringing them ahead with 12 games over group mates Galatasaray, CFR Cluj and Braga.
